CARIBBEAN EXCHANGES GOES LIVE WITH STT EXCHANGE SOLUTION

 

SecuritiesTrading Technology, a global provider offinancial services software and software-enabled services, today announced thesuccessful go-live of their Exchange solution in the Caribbean Exchanges.

TheExchange solution is a comprehensive, end to end solution designed for stock exchanges.It includes an automated trading solution, trading front end, exchangemanagement and surveillance solutions as well as central securities depositorycapabilities.

Inearly 2016, Securities Trading Technology (STT) won the contract to provide thenew trading platform to the three exchanges. The stock exchanges in Jamaica,Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago have migrated to the new Web tradingplatform, which brings the exchanges closer together and includes the option ofregional integration in the future.

STT’ssystem was chosen to provide higher performance, increased flexibility and newpossibilities.

Our IT and MarketOperations teams were tireless in their efforts to ensure a smooth transitionand are excited about the possibilities of the new system.”

Withthe adoption of STT’s Avvento Traderengine, the BSE offers a reliable market infrastructure and a highly efficienttrading solution for trading between banks, brokers, traders and clients in ourmarkets.

Thecapacity for inter-exchange connectivity will provide a wealth of potentialinvestment opportunities for both local and regional investors. STT’s tradingplatform is an evolutionary step as the BSE seeks to position itself as aglobally-recognized international exchange.”
